SALARY UP TO $85,000 DEPENDING UPON EXPERIENCE 

Responsible for Columbus Branch Sprinkler business segment including but not limited to Sprinkler Install (engineering, project management, and field supervisor/technicians), Sprinkler Service (scheduling and technicians), departmental operations, administrative, and financials.  Assist with central Ohio sprinkler needs of neighboring branches.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain personal and departmental compliance with all Koorsen policies and core values, setting a good example for associates.  Represent Koorsen in a professional manner.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and provide guidance on new employee training and periodic/annual reviews of performance.  Handle employee disciplinary actions when necessary.  Motivate and track employee continued development and training.
  • Coordinate and manage regular meetings for the sprinkler installation and service team to ensure thorough and effective communication to department employees, allowing for a collaborative team environment.
  • Responsible for the financial performance of the sprinkler installation and service department, constantly looking for areas that need addressed, corrected, or improved upon.  Work with branch and senior management in planning annual budgets and growth projections. 
  • Communicate with customers and associates of Koorsen Fire & Security regarding problems that may arise and pursue a proper resolution to those problems.
  • Ensure quality control audits and site survey are completed to ensure proper customer service levels, assist with pre-sale site walks and quote reviews.
  • Ensure all safety standards are met.  Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Complete and submit paperwork as needed in a timely manner including, but not limited to, payroll, financial reporting and job installation financials, expense reports, operations reports, etc.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Must be able to understand and interpret NFPA codes and standards as needed.
  • Must be a self-starter with good initiative and decision making.
  • Must have strong time management and organizational skills.

RequireD:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Minimum 5 years of previous experience working in Sprinkler Operations as a manager or Construction Management 
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and meet the safe driving policy criteria to be an active company vehicle driver
  • Have or be able and willing to obtain required industry licensing
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening. 

PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Operations, and/or Business Administration
  • Proven track record of successful service and/or installation management
  • Industry experience in the fire sprinkler (or fire alarm) industry
  • Comfortable with using Microsoft Office and Computer
