Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and the Uniform Fire Code mandate your employees be trained annually on the proper use of portable fire extinguishers.
Koorsen Fire & Security Inc. offers two quick, cost-effective fire extinguisher training programs:

1. |
An on-site live fire in a controlled, safe environment |
2. |
Our new digital fire simulator |
Please contact a Koorsen Fire & Security representative for more information.
| Koorsen Fire & Security provides a live fire with portable fire extinguisher training. A fire protection specialist will arrive at your business equipped with a truck and trailer capable of demonstrating on-site live burns. Before the live burn begins, extensive classroom training will review fire prevention and proper extinguisher techniques. The trailer is equipped with a detachable burn pad that contains a mixture of water, kerosene and gasoline. Once the burn begins to accelerate, the participants are allowed to extinguish the fire from a safe distance using a provided fire extinguisher. |

The Ansul Fire Simulator provides realistic fire extinguisher training. Created by a digital camera, the system simulates four fire scenarios in hazardous areas. The simulator is adjustable to various skill levels and utilizes both a stored pressure and cartridge operated extinguisher if needed. This cost-effective form of training requires no fuel or chemical, no burn permit, and can be completed regardless of weather conditions or ozone action days. This type of training requires minimal clean up with zero environmental impact. The training meets OSHA regulation 1910.157G.
